Happy 4th!

We had a very nice Fourth of July. The day started with a small parade in town, which we participated in as a part of the Park Service's float. The kids got to ride in the wagon, which Brian pulled, while I passed out candy. Later on, our friends, Steve & Christine, hosted us and several other families for a BBQ. It came complete with a birthday cake loaded with many, many candles. Thanks! Then instead of walking to the golf course, we opted for watching the fireworks from our back yard with some neighbors, which turned out to be a good decision. A great view point for the impressive fireworks and a quick to-bed for our tired kids. We were grateful that the temperatures started to drop (thanks to some cloud cover) by the early evening. Today, it is about 25 degrees cooler than yesterday. A nice break for us, but a little hard on all the tourists who came to the lake for boating.
